This web page is designed to assist in the adoption support and to help lost pets be reunited to their owners, to prevent cruelty to animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, and enhance the relationship between humans and animals.

If you pass the PRE adoption application, Adoption Fees:

Dog or Puppy

$60.00 Regular
$45.00 A Special senior citizen price, if over 60 with ID
The special Dog that you choose to adopt and be part of your family will receive

  • Spay or neuter (required)
  • Microchip identification
  • Collar
  • Hawaii County dog license
  • Vaccination and deworming

Cat or Kitten

$50.00 Regular
$40.00 A Special senior citizen price, if over 60 with ID
The special Cat that you choose to adopt and be part of your family will receive

  • Spay or neuter (required)
  • Microchip identification
  • Cat safety collar and ID tag
  • Cat Carry Box
  • Vaccination and deworming

ALL ANIMALS MUST GET SPAYED OR NEUTERED BEFORE GOING HOME.

If you have a lost or found pet, or need assistance in finding a home for a pet please send a photo or digital picture*, along with pertinent information** to: hihs@hihs.org

  • Digital Pictures must be in .jpg form and a size of 200 pixels by 200 pixels.
  • Please include your name, address and phone number. Also include age, gender and breed, as well as a few descriptive words.
  • PHOTOS MUST ACCOMPANY LOST AND FOUND OR I CAN NOT POST THEM. Sorry for any inconvenience, but with a picture the chances are greater.
  • Your address will not be published on the internet.
